POSITION VACANCY
PSYCHOSOCIAL PROGRAM CONSULTANT (1 position)
Code : RJO/011/NUT/Nutrition Deputy Program Manager/III/11
Location/base : Yogyakarta
Start date : a.s.a.p
Duration of contract : until August 31st, 2011
Objective1 : Ensure the evolution of the humanitarian situation as concerns nutrition and care practices
Activities :
- Collect and analyse information on nutrition, protection and care practices ;
- Recognize the impact of living conditions on the population ;
- Analyse population practices to follow-up the project.
Objective 2 : Contribute to defining the project strategy
Activities :
- Evaluate population needs ;
- Propose intervention strategies ;
- Write proposals and technical reports for the donors ;
- Guarantee a transversal approach.
Objective 3 : Supervise the project
Activities :
- Approve the project implementation methodology ;
- Ensure expertise and technical support ;
- Communicate and collaborate with the other departments on all the projects ;
- Write monthly reports.
Objective 4 : Improve the quality of the programmes
Activities :
- Improve the consumption follow-up and anticipate the needs ;
- Analyse the statistics of the nutrition centres ;
- Identify possible problems and solve them ;
- Collect, correct and compile the activity reports.
Objective 5 : Represent the organization when liaising with the partners
Activities :
- Cooperate with other actors working in the field of mental health and care practices : cooperation agencies, NGOs, local institutions, administration, etc.
Objective 6 : Supervise the team
Activities :
- Recruiting and training of team members ;
- Carry out appraisals of the staffs
- Reinforce management of the project ;
- Stimulate and communicate with the team members ;
- Organize and conduct team meetings.
Diploma / Level of studies : Degree in Nutrition, nurse or equivalent
Required skills:
Experience in the humanitarian field and nutrition
Good analytical capacity
Training skills
Knowledge of informatics : Word, Excel, EPInut, EPIsurvey
