URGENTLY REQUIRED BUSINESS CONSULTANT
Mercy Corps Indonesia is currently implementing BEST (Breastfeeding Education Support and Training) project in collaboration with Koja Hospital North Jakarta to develop a consumer-driven and self-sustain model institution that support environment for early initiation and exclusive breastfeeding practices in health facilities DKI Jakarta, Indonesia.
In order to have a supportive, consumer-driven and self-sustain breastfeeding care which is affordable for middle low class market, we would like to hire a business consultant to provide assistance to develop breastfeeding centre’s business and marketing plan.
Position title :
Business Development Consultant (1 position)
Duty Station :
Jakarta (Mercy Corps Jakarta office and RSUD Koja Jakarta Utara)
Type & Duration of contract :
Consultancy contract for 20 working days
Responsibilities :
Business Development Consultant will counter part with RSUD Koja to assist conducting market feasibility survey, competition analysis, product competitiveness survey, and development of the Business Plan.
1. Development of economic model of the center including:
- Conduct a market feasibility survey for the services to be provided by the center
- Assessment of competition analysis, competitors products, services, prices and marketing strategy
- Assessment of product competitiveness, ensuring center has distinguish product to compete with competitors
2. Development of business model for the provision of services; specifically, this should address the following – how to:
- Build an appropriate business plan for the service & training center including, appropriate cost structures and ways to leverage government funds to cover core costs in conjunction with a free structure for other additional costs
- Build a clear and feasible Branding and Marketing Strategy for each of the center’s services: to deliver appropriate message to targeted clients
3. Develop clear action plans based on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of the Business Model once developed
4. Train breastfeeding center’s staffs & management staffs how to market their services and calculate their loss & profit
5. Foresee partnership engagements to run the business in the long term

Senior Program Manager Health & Nutrition
Accountability:
Report to: Senior Program Manager Health & Nutrition
Closely Working with: BEST Project Coordinator & OWOF Project Manager
Competency:
Minimum 2- 4 years experience in economic/financial models and development of business plans in maternal and child healthcare (compelling portfolio is an advantage)
Excellent analytical skills
Strong interpersonal communication and information-gathering skills
Resourcefulness
Critical and creative thinking
Experience in public hospital is an advantage
Excellent writing and reporting skill bilingual ( Indonesia and English)
