CIFOR is looking for a Photo Editor

The Center for International Forestry Research advances human wellbeing, environmental conservation and equity by conducting research to inform policies and practices that affect forests in developing countries. We are one of 15 centres within the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). Our headquarters are in Bogor, Indonesia, and we have offices in Asia, Africa and South America.

CIFOR is looking for a Photo Editor


CIFOR is looking for a photo editor to develop and manage its photo library. CIFOR has tens of thousands of photographs that need to be sorted, edited, captioned and filed into a user-friendly database.
Reporting to the Media Liaison and Outreach Manager, the photo editor leads the implementation of CIFOR's digital photographic asset management strategy. The photo editor works with the multimedia production team and CIFOR's scientific staff to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CIFOR's overall investment in photography through effective planning, cataloguing and editorial guidance.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement effective processes for cataloguing, captioning, storing and updating digital photographic assetsPlan, commission and oversee photo assignmentsProvide editorial guidance on the use of photography to CIFOR' s multimedia production unitRequirementsEducation, experience and technical skills
Bachelors degree or equivalent diploma in a related fieldsFluency in English and IndonesianInterest, knowledge and experience in database development and managementExperience with photography and photo editing; knowledge of photo editing software.Personal attributes and competencies
