SHORT TERM EXPERT - INFORMATION ADVISOR
Broad Statement of Function:
Working under a one year contract for the ASEAN-US Technical Assistance and Training Facility, review and make recommendations for improved policies, procedures, and designs for existing and future information systems of the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC).
Primary Responsibilities:
Design an integrated information system that will provide greater support to activities undertaken by ASEC. This will require:
1. Critical review of existing studies of the ASEC information systems.
2. Convene and lead ASEC ICT Committee
3. Conduct holistic ASEC ICT functions assessment to define the current state and five-year end state of front end, back end, backbone systems
4. Identify achievable short-term (6-12 month) upgrades including website "face-lift" and bandwidth upgrades
5. Develop a medium-term IT modernization plan
Requirements:
. More than ten (10) years of relevant experiences
. University graduates in Management Information, Computer Technique or related.
. Experience in the design and implementation of IT system for a large scale company/organization.
. Have deep knowledge of IT with knowledge of various platform of Server Operating System.
. Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
