Cooperation between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Denmark
Environmental Support Programme Phase 2
Component 1: Support to Public Sector Institutions
Background
The Governments of Denmark and Indonesia have agreed to cooperate in the field of environmental management through the Environmental Support Programme (ESP). The support is structured over two stages; Phase One (ESP 1), which was implemented 2005-2007, and Phase Two (ESP 2) planned to run for five years (2008-2012).
ESP 2 is implemented by the Ministry of Environment (KLH), The Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA). ESP 2 has three components; one of them being Component 1: Support to Public Sector Institutions.
The immediate objective of Component 1 is to support Public Sector Institutions to develop, test and adopt practical instruments and systems for addressing the environmental implications of the development cycle (policy, planning, implementation and regulation); in partner ministries and districts.
Request for Tender
ESP 2 seeks to engage a suitably qualified company for the execution of National Technical Assistance (TA) to support the work of Counterparts in the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).
SEA Applied in National Development Planning (April to December 2011)
This contract will require TA to support Bappenas in (1) enhancing and finalising draft SEA Guidance; (2) enhancing the capacity of Bappenas staff and sectors; and (3) enhancing Sustainable Development Indicators and using Environmental and Natural Resources (ENR) as a reference in conducting SEA.
The ESP 2 Component now invites eligible Organisations to submit a Tender to provide the services required. Request for Tender documents can be downloaded at the following URL: http://www.esp2indonesia.org
