Finance Coordinator - Forest Indonesia Program
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or equivalent and 4 years of experience in supervisory level.
* Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
* Excellent communication in English both oral and writing.
* Well conversant with software application such as MS office, Word , Excel, Web browsers and knowing Oracle financial application is preferred.
* Familiar with the US GAAP and also understanding of fund accounting principles, practices and regulations.
* Previous working experience with INGO would be a plus
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Forest Finance Coordinator, based in Balikpapan will support TNC Indonesia Forest Program with primary responsibilities to directing the accounting processes, prepare consolidation reports, provide analysis of the financial reports and ensuring compliance to TNC Standard Operating Procedures.
Key activities to include:
* Develops, proposes and improves the process, systems and procedures of any part of the system for which could bring to a better improved internal control of the Forest Program.
* Supervising finance officers and finance coordinators (Berau and Sulawesi) who does day to day accounting activities.
* Fully responsible for sending the financial reports to Jakarta Office accurately and timely.
* To be able to compile all the necessary information for preparation of the budget or forecast for Forest Program.
* Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data from General Ledger.
* High level of research and analysis, comparing budget against actual and make recommendation for corrective action as appropriate to ensure that working within the approved budget.
* Providing an update funds accurately and reporting to Budget Center Manager after making consultation first with Senior Operations Manager.
* Maintain and monitor all gifts from donor accurately.
* Maintain and monitor grants and non grants accounting transactions in which comply with local government and US government regulation.
