THE ASEAN CENTRE FOR ENERGY (ACE) IN JAKARTA INVITES QUALIFIED ASEAN NATIONALS FOR THE FOLLOWING CAREER POSITION
PROJECT OFFICER
A Project Officer position is open for the Information and Training Department of the Jakarta-based ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). The PO shall provide assistance in the coordination of meeting under ASEAN Energy cooperation program and management of project activities under the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) 2010-2015. The APAEC is the blue print of cooperation of the ASEAN member states consisting of 7 program areas, namely: 1) ASEAN Power Grid; 2) Trans-ASEAN Gas Pipeline; 3) Coal; 4) Energy Efficiency and Conservation; 5) Renewable Energy; 6) Regional Energy Policy and Planning and 7) Civilian Nuclear cooperation.
The applicant must possess a university/college degree in social science, engineering, or related field; 25 years of age and above, fluent in written and spoken English, computer literate, and capacity to multi-task. Master's degree and 3 years experience in energy and industry are advantage. Moreover, the candidate must be 1) willing to work for longer hours; 2) capable to work independently in a multi-cultural environment, and 3) ready to travel at anytime and place as required.
Successful candidate will be offered a one (1) year contract tentatively from 1 May 2011, with a possibility of extension every year for three (3) consecutive years. Salary is within the range of US$1000 and US$1,500 per month depending on qualifications and experience. Other applicable benefits include, among others, housing allowance, medical insurance, and salary increment.
