Position Title: National Coordinator Assistant (Reference:NCA)
Location: Yogyakarta with travel across Indonesia
Supervisor: National Coordinator
Closing date: April 17, 2011
Handicap International, is an International NGO specialised in the field of disability and development with objective to support people in situations of disability or vulnerability, whatever may be the cause and the environment underlying that situation (extreme poverty, exclusion, deficient social and health systems, serious violation or denial of basic rights, natural disasters, violence and armed conflict). TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the line management of the National Operational Coordinator (NOC), the National Coordinator Assistant will be in charge to assist the NOC in his daily tasks with a focus on projects monitoring and documentation/data collection:
* Assist in the monitoring and evaluation activities towards projects (implementation of Handicap M&E framework)
* Assist regarding administrative, financial and logistical tasks
* Maintain the process of transfer of knowledge, internally and to partners
* Assist the Program organizational knowledge building, organization and dissemination
* Assist the Operational Coordinator to comprehend of Indonesian context
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor Degree, graduate from social or political sciences or journalism is preferred
* Minimum 5 years practical experience in the field in question
* 7 years of professional experience
* Excellent level in English language (written and spoken)
* Understanding of project cycle management
* Familiar with international humanitarian donors
* Knowledge of disability issues is preferred
Initial contract will be for a period of 12 (twelve) months with the possibility of renewal.
