Currently Save the Children has an immediate need for experienced staff members to improve the well-being of children by integrating water and sanitation facilities and hygiene promotion in 225 primary schools in three provinces of Indonesia: NTT, Sulawesi and Papua.
WISE Program:
Save the Children in Indonesia (SCiIDN) proposes to improve the well-being of children by integrating water and sanitation facilities and hygiene promotion in 225 primary schools in three provinces of Indonesia: Sulawesi (Sorong District), NTT (Belu District) and Sulawesi (Soppeng District). In partnership with UNICEF and Care, the WISE (WASH in Schools Empowerment) program will support four main activities: 1) design and construction of cost-efficient, low-technology sanitation facilities in schools, 2) hygiene promotion in schools and communities, 3) creation of an enabling environment for improving sanitation, and 4)
monitoring, evaluation, learning, and sharing of best practices. Save the Children will lead the three agencies in planning, implementing, and monitoring school-based activities, including hygiene promotion in schools, training teachers and parents about good hygiene behavior, expanding the Little Doctors (Doktor Kecil) peer education program, and improving school-based management of hygiene activities.
In addition, with funding from Wrigley's, SCiIDN will integrate an oral health component into WISE. This will include 1) distribution of toothbrush/tool paste, 2) integration of school based oral health promotion into the curriculum and school activities, and 3) school based dental checks.
The positions needed, as follow:
1. Senior Project Officer WISE (code: SPO WISE) - 1 post based in Belu, NTT
The WISE NTT Senior Program Officer will be responsible for overall implementation of all activities in target schools in Belu NTT. S/he will be responsible for the financial, programmatic implementation and monitoring/ of all Wise and Wrigley project activities ensuring that all SC activities are synchronized with Wise Consortium implementation plan.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Ensure WISE / Wrigley Belu based activities are implemented according to WISE consortium / Wrigley implementation plan, and SC detailed implementation plan.
2. Ensure Oral health is integrated into school based hygiene promotion in Belu target schools
3. Ensure close collaboration with UNICEF, Care and Bappeda staff in implementation of and monitoring of all WISE project activities.
4. Establish and develop strong and effective relationships with key district government and non government stakeholders including, health and education authorities, district planning department, UNICEF district staff, and local and international NGOs.
5. Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual activity, financial and monitoring reports according to WISE M & E framework, donor requirements, and SCiIND requirements.
6. With technical input from hygiene and oral health specialist, ensure high quality technical implementation of all project interventions according to global best practices and lessons learned from SC SHN programming in Indonesia and globally.
7. Provide logistic and administrative leadership in the organization of all school and community based trainings for hygiene promotion, low cost technology construction, oral health promotion, and dokter kecil.
8. Arrange logistics and administration as required for visits by Jakarta staff, District Coordinator, Specialists and others as needed.

The WISE Manokwari/Sopeng Project Officer is responsible for ensuring smooth logistics, and operations for the implementation of all Wise / Wrigley project activities in Manokwari/Sopeng. S/he is also responsible for maintaining relationships with key school, community and government stakeholders. In addition the PO will ensure financial and administrative reporting for all activities implemented in Manokwari/Sopeng according to donor and Save the Children requirements.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Provide logistic and administrative leadership in the organization of all school and community based trainings for hygiene promotion, low cost technology construction, oral health promotion, and dokter kecil.
2. In cooperation with the District Coordinator, ensure that activities are implemented according to agreed upon WISE / Wrigley work plan.
3. Arrange logistics and administration as required for visits by Jakarta staff, District Coordinator, Specialists and others as needed.
4. In cooperation with District Manager, maintain effective relationships with government and non-government stakeholders.
5. Regularly collect monitoring data according project monitoring and evaluation plan.
6. Ensure compliance with all administrative financial and administrative procedures
7. Conduct frequent monitoring visits to sites to collect monitoring data, provide on site coaching, identify areas for improvement and ensure overall implementation quality.
Requirements for SPO and PO post:
* Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
* At least 3 years work experience with non-government organizations in the area of hygiene promotion or school based activities and 2 years of experience providing logistics and administrative support for project implementation
* Experience working with local government
* Experience working with schools to improve quality of education
* Experience working in partnership with local NGOs and government partners, including implementation of capacity building programs.
* Proficiency with MS Word and Power Point and internet/email applications
* Excellent written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia
* Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents

3. Finance & Admin Officer WISE (code: FAO WISE) - 1 post based in Kupang, NTT
This position will manage the finance and administration of the WISE project.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Develop for Program Manager approval and monitor the implementation of a procurement and expenditure plan for the length of the project
2. Monitor expenditures compared to budget of the WISE Project on a monthly basis to present monthly reports to the Program Manager
3. Process all project payments in a timely and appropriate manner
4. Ensure project procurement is conducted appropriately including following all internal regulations including ensuring appropriate documentation and separation of duties
5. Ensure all project advances are liquidated in a timely manner
6. Maintain project financial documentation
7. Facilitate any necessary recruitment of WISE staff
8. Ensure all staff receive training on and adhere to Save the Children HR policies
