VSO - Indonesian Volunteer Recruitment 2011 (re-advertise)

Do you have the skills, the heart, the stamina and the will to share your expertise?

Last year VSO Indonesia (in collaboration with VSO Bahaginan in the Philippines) successfully recruited 5 Indonesian professionals who are now working as international volunteers in developing countries. We are now opening this opportunity again for the next 5 Indonesian professionals who want to work in partnership with organisations in one of 42 developing countries as international volunteers.

Many people all over the world experience all kinds of disadvantages; poverty, poor health, lack of food and clean water, disability, unequal access to natural resources and inability to participate in society, you name it! For over 50 years VSO, the world’s leading independent international development organization that works through volunteers, has been working to reduce these disadvantages and fight poverty. You could play a role in making the world a better place. By sharing your skills you can make a big difference. At the same time, you will also gain new skills and have a unique global experience that can change your life.

Qualifications:


- Between 25 - 65 years old
- Fluent in English (written and oral) and willing to learn other languages
- Minimum 3 years’ solid experience in one area of expertise (Forestry, Rice farming, Agribusiness management, Small business management, M&E, Education management, Fundraising/resource mobilisation, Organisational management)
- Formal university degree
- Physically and mentally fit
- Can live and work in a developing country for up to 2 years
- Can live on a modest living allowance
- Able to go abroad starting August 2011
