Project Assistant

Indonesia AIDS Coalition (IAC) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs) working for HIV and AIDS issues in the working area Indonesia and domiciled in Jakarta. IAC works especially for promote public policy in favor of AIDS-affected communities and the rights of minorities and women.

Currently IAC requires staff who are willing to join the program "Promotion of transparency, accountability and participation of civil society in AIDS prevention ", with the position and the following criteria:

Project Assistant

The duration of the contract for 1 year with 3 months of trial and possible extension at the end of the contract.

* Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist Project Officer to provide support to partner organizations project, through regular visits and dialogue, with particular attention at:
- Assessment of the project, monitoring and evaluation, including financial monitoring
- Identify needs for capacity development, with serve as a resource and / identifying sources that could provide capacity building assistance
- Networking with partners (and non-partners) together to develop their experience.
2. Identify areas, groups and new initiatives in which the organization can help, assess it and report on project officer / coordinator, including for fund raising and funding opportunities
3. Ensuring that all work organsasi consider and resolve problem of gender inequalities, including providing assistance to the partner organizations for program planning and implementation of fair Gender
4. Produce written reports for all activities that interact with partners, including reports of regular visits, for the purposes of the organization
5. Drafting narrative reports to donor projects submitted to the PO
6. Carrying out administrative work dibutukhkan with partners, accordance with the organization's financial policies and procedures
7. Establish partnership with staff and non-governmental organizations national governments and organizations tinggkat / other local as needed to achieve the objectives of the project
8. Provide regular updates on developments related to the Project Officer in project implementation, the status of the project and other developments that could affect the work of the project / organization

Competency / Qualifications Key

1. Preferred Women or Transvestite
2. At least high school education
3. Having experience working with local NGOs or outspoken root grass / communities at least 3 (three) years, and have the knowledge and understanding of the situation and environment-related NGOs in Indonesia, the dynamics and the way it works
4. Able to speak English is preferred
5. Understand about HIV issues, gender and human rights in development and is committed to promote gender equality and fulfillment of human rights
6. Able to operate computer programs a minimum of microsoft office (word, excel and power point) and the Internet.
7. Able to work according to their own initiative to build and develop duties, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
8. Having written and verbal communication skills are good
9. Able to develop relationships with other people who come from backgrounds different back (like the addict, Transvestite, Gay, Sex Workers and people with HIV / AIDS)
