Re-advertise: Partner Coordinator (Jakarta based)

Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest for the
Partner Coordinator (Jakarta based) on our USAID Indonesia Forestry and
Climate Support Project (USAID IFACS).


USAID IFACS seeks to reduce the threats of deforestation and climate change,
and help the Government of Indonesia (GOI) conserve the country's tropical
forests, wildlife, and ecosystem processes (including carbon sequestration).

JOB SUMMARY:

The USAID IFACS project has multiple implementation partners working in 8
target sites and has additional responsibility for coordinating the work of
USAID/Indonesia FOREST implementing partners including USFS, CI-SLP, TFCA I
and II, and University Partners. USAID IFACS is also implementing many
project activities through sub-contracts and grants mechanisms to CSO and
other service providers (Project Partners). S/he will work under the
direction of the Chief of Party (COP) to manage and take primary
responsibility for ensuring effective coordination of USAID IFACS and
USAID/Indonesia FOREST implementing partners and Project Partners to achieve
and report on significant and sustainable results.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

1. Maintain regular coordination with USAID IFACS subcontractors.
Tasks include:

. Maintain database of files of subcontractors to track both
financial and technical aspects of contract implementation.

. Liaise with subcontractors to ensure their enthusiastic
involvement in USAID IFACS activities through one-on-one meetings as well as
Partner Meetings at the Landscape and/or Provincial level.

. Ensure timely submission of effective progress reports from
subcontractors.

. In collaboration with the DCOP, ensure sub-contractors are
coordinating effectively with USAID IFACS field staff (and vice versa).

. In collaboration with the M&E Specialist, ensure timely and
accurate submission of PMP reporting requirements.

. Ensure subcontractors provide brief updates (preferably with
photographs) on a quarterly basis, for use in Progress Reports, Success
Stories and Snapshots.

. Ensure effective contributions of subcontractors to USAID IFACS
Annual Work Plans.

2. Maintain regular coordination with USAID/Indonesia FOREST partners
including but not limited to USFS, CI-SLP, TFCA I and II, and University
Partners. Tasks include:

. In coordination with USAID, facilitate semi-annual FOREST Partners
meetings.

. In coordination with USAID IFACS M&E Specialist, facilitate annual
reporting requirements from partners for USAID each September-October.

. Prepare bi-monthly Success Stories or Snapshots, highlighting
achievements of FOREST partners.

. Ensure FOREST Partners are represented in the development of the
USAID IFACS Annual Work Plan.

3. Maintain a regularly-updated database of GOI, donor and NGO
initiatives related to USAID IFACS activities at the national and landscape
level.

4. As requested by the COP, liaise with GOI partners to ensure
linkages between USAID IFACS objectives and GOI development objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

University Degree.

5 years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility, preferred in
one or more of the following areas: management, communications, and/or
networking.

Excellent written and oral communications.

Ability to work independently and maintain focus on tasks.

Ability to manage multiple organizational relationships and tasks
simultaneously.

Ability to work harmoniously with a wide range of people and organizations.

Knowledge of the forests sector in Indonesia.

Fluency in spoken and written Indonesian.

Professional competency in spoken and written English.

Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful
environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness
to listen and respect for colleagues.

Must also be able to create a supportive working relationship among all
project teams.

Willingness to travel extensively to often remote locations across
Indonesia.
