The
Center for Public Policy Transformation (Transformasi)
The Center for Public Policy Transformation is a new, non-profit
educational institution established to promote evidence-based policy research
and training in Indonesia. Transformasi will collaborate with domestic and
international partners to provide executive education programs for government
officials, to link training to practical policy research and help domestic
researchers and research institutions build capacity for evidence-based
research. Transformasi will invest in communications and outreach to raise
public awareness of policy issues and link policymakers, researchers and the
general public.
Communications Coordinator
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Coordinator will deliver the
organization’s overall communication strategy to increase the impact of the
Center’s programs.
Specific responsibilities include:
Communications strategy
·
Collaborating
with the Director and senior leadership to develop communications strategies
that will broaden programmatic reach and deepen impact
·
Develop and
refine the Center’s “core” messages to ensure organizational consistency
Communications & media management
·
Manage the
Center’s internet presence and integrate the full range of electronic media
into a single strategy, including web, social media, video, and email
·
Manage the
Center’s outreach programs to ensure that groups and individuals with specific
interests and in specific geographical areas receive appropriate messages from
the Center in the form of email, sms, social media, and mail
Publication & Events
·
Develop and
publish a working paper series and other vehicles to promote the Center’s
research products
·
Produce video
policy cases and distribute them through Youtube and other means
·
Collaborate
with broadcasters to share the Center’s products with a wider national audience
·
Work closely
with domestic and international media outlets, develop press kits, issue press
releases, and use other available means to disseminate the Center’s core
messages
Training
·
Develop
communications training curricula for partner’s institutions and deliver this
material in training programs designed to increase the effectiveness of partner
institutions
·
Work with
national and international partners to develop training materials for executive
education programs
Leadership
·
Establish,
manage, and train a team of communications professionals to implement the
communications strategy
Qualifications
The Communications
Coordinator will have
the following experience and attributes:
·
Bachelor degree in communications, social sciences or
related field
·
Significant communications experience that includes a
blend of advocacy and media relations
·
A strong track record of positioning an organization
to achieve tangible outcomes in a competitive communications environment
·
Experience in institutional development and training
is a plus
·
Experience in producing a wide range of media,
including written materials, video, and social media
·
Technical proficiency in database management and web
development
·
Strong management and team-building skills
·
Networking with
multi stakeholders
·
Flexible and a self-starter;
able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.
·
Personal qualities of
integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the Center’s mission of promoting policy
research and education.
