The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Promoting
Rural Income through Support for Markets in Agriculture (AIP-PRISMA) is an
ambitious new rural development program which aims to contribute to a 30%, or
more, increase in net incomes for 1,000,000 poor rural female and male farmers,
300,000 of which will be reached by June 2017. AIP-PRISMA will focus on Eastern
Indonesia (EJ, NTB, NTT, Papua and West Papua).
AIP-PRISMA is in its first year of operation. It has recruited
about 60 staff (program and support staff) that have received different levels
of induction to the program. Towards the end of the 6 months long induction
program, which was designed as an on-the-job training, AIP-PRISMA intends to
have a one day facilitated team building event where all staff, including the
management, participates.
Objective and Scope of
Services of The Consultancy
The objective of this consultancy is to design and
conduct a one day team building event for AIP-PRISMA that meets the expected
outcome. The event is planned for 10th of October 2014 at a location
to be decided in East Java within 2 – 3 hours from Surabaya. The venue will offer options for indoor and
outdoor space. The language used for this event is Bahasa Indonesia but some translations
in English may be required.
It is expected that after the event the team has
been strengthened and staff members of AIP-PRISMA have a better understanding
on:
- Different roles in teams and how to work effectively in groups and teams
- Interpersonal communication and how to foster open and effective communication between individuals and among various groups in the office.
The consultant is required to undertake the
following tasks:
- Develop a detailed proposal for a one day Team Building event that includes:
- Objectives of the team building event
- Expected outputs and outcomes
- Detailed program and methods that reflect a good balance between theory and practice and uses adult learning and appreciative approaches
- Resource persons background and experience
- Budget
- References
- Conduct the Team Building event
- Submit a short report on the Team Building event that summarizes
- The programme and methods used for the TB event
- Assessment of the process of the event
- Observations on the team learning in general and
- Suggestions for further development of the team cohesion

together with an organization profile. The applicant is encouraged to provide
material that shows evidence of previous experiences with similar assignments.

internal technical evaluation committee will assess the proposals using the
following criteria: 1. Past experience: 15% 2. Facilitators’ qualifications: 20%
3. Proposed syllabus: 25% 4. Methods: 20% and 5. Budget effectiveness: 20%
