Chemonics seeks Deputy Chief of Party

Chemonics seeks a Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID-funded Indonesia
Marine and Climate Support project in Indonesia. The project’s goal is to
support the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF)
efforts to achieve sustainability in the marine and fisheries sector and to
improve the response of coastal communities to near-term disasters and
long-term impacts related to climate change.



Responsibilities include:



   - Oversee and support coordination and delivery of activities, ensuring
   effective linkages with tasks at the national, provincial, and district
   levels, as delegated by the Chief of Party (COP).  Assist the COP with
   management and supervision of Jakarta and regional offices. Assist COP with
   management of 100 climate change project sites;
   - Ensure effective coordination and communications within the Ministry
   of Marine Affairs and Fisheries and with other Indonesian partners at the
   national, provincial and district levels.
   - Lead Task 4 (Program Integration, Coordination, and Administrative
   Support), including supervising staff and their work concerning
communications,
   campaigns and promotional materials, monitoring and evaluation across all
   tasks, reporting; and coordination with MRP partners.
   - Oversee the technical development of RFAs, scopes, implementation, and
   impact performance of grants, undertaking regular field visits to monitor
   and evaluate progress;
   - Assist with preparation and compliance of contract deliverables,
   including quarterly reports, annual plans, and consultant reports;



Qualifications:



·         Minimum of 10 years of experience in international program
management, preferably senior management experience at DCOP or equivalent
level;**

·         Strong understanding of the Government of Indonesia structure and
operations, with direct experience with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and
Fisheries highly desirable; Experience with planning, coordination,
communication and monitoring and evaluation mechanisms and approaches;**

·         Proven team leadership, staff management, project administration,
and financial management skills are required, including ability to manage
and develop local relationships;**

·         Proficient speaking and writing skills in English language as
well as in  Bahasa Indonesia;**

·         Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree highly desirable.**
