DAI - CALL FOR RESUMES for ASEAN PROGRESS

foundations, national and regional government institutions.


DAI seeks a number of candidates for proposed positions to support the
ASEAN-U.S. Partnership for Good Governance, Equitable and Sustainable
Development and Security (ASEAN-US. PROGRESS).  The program will provide
technical assistance, training, materials, and other resources as needed to
support and enhance ASEAN’s capacity to advance good governance and
regional security, and to promote equitable and sustainable human
development in Southeast Asia. In particular, it will focus on a) enhancing
ASEAN’s ability to advance good governance and political and security
integration; b) enhancing ASEAN’s ability to advance sociocultural
integration; c) supporting the ASEAN Secretariat’s function to facilitate
and support meetings, agreements and protocols as well as its
implementation of the ASEAN- US. PoA, the Initiative for ASEAN Integration
(IAI). In addition, the activity will incorporate coordination and
communications support for overall USAID assistance to ASEAN.

*Chief of Party (COP): *The Chief of Party will serve as the Institutional
Liaison with the ASEAN Secretariat, USAID, and priority partners. The Chief
of Party is responsible for strategic direction and analysis, planning, and
high level technical supervision and administrative oversight of the
project.**



Qualifications:

·         At least 10 years of senior level management experience (CoP,
DCoP or equivalent) on development initiatives/activities similar to the
regional focus and complexity of this program, preferably in ASEAN member
states in one or more of the sectors targeted by this project: promoting
good governance, enhancing inclusive, equitable economic growth,
strengthening  the  security sector (particularly with regard to regional
issues), disaster management, women's and children's rights, and supporting
science-based policy-making.

·         Demonstrated experience in multiple stakeholder programs in a
bureaucratic environment.

·         At least 5 years contract management experience including
demonstrated use of financial, logistical, operational, administrative, and
technical processes.

·         Experience working on regional/multi-office programs preferred.

·         Experience working with international donor-funded projects;
USAID experience strongly preferred.

·         Demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge in the
program subject matter.

·         Fluency in English required; proficiency in another ASEAN
language a plus.

·         Advanced degree in political science, international relations,
development, economics, human rights, or related field required.



*Deputy Chief of Party/Communications Director (DCOP): *The Deputy Chief of
Party/Communications Director will support the Chief of Party through
technical assistance and training in addition to performing the role of
Communications Director. In addition, the DCOP will provide overall
coordination and communications support on USAID-wide activities for ASEAN
as relevant. **



Qualifications:

·         At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in international
development programs, including performing functions such as
communications, knowledge management, and monitoring and evaluation.

·         A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

·         Demonstrated experience of contract management duties including
activity design, development and implementation, data collection and
analysis system design.

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills (native English
equivalent) and experience in communication tool design – previous
experience in U.S. government setting preferred; event management
experience.

·         General project management experience including financial,
monitoring and evaluation, and logistical process experience.

·         Demonstrated technical knowledge in the program subject matter
desired.



*Disaster Management Specialist: *The Disaster Management Specialist will
provide technical support to the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management
(ACDM) to provide assistance to the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for
Humanitarian Assistance and Emergency Response (AHA Centre). **



Qualifications:

·         Demonstrated technical expertise in large-scale disaster
management in the region of focus.

·         Experience working with multilateral institutions related to
emergency preparedness and disaster response/management.

·         Experience in designing and implementing training and developing
public awareness initiatives.

·         A bachelor’s degree in related field.

·         Fluency in English.

·         Previous experience with U.S. Government-funded programs a plus.



*Consultants specializing in multiple technical areas: *DAI is seeking
qualified individuals who have experience in one or more of the following

  1. Good resume helps in getting an interview. It is really hard to impress employers which can ease with a good resume. Hence it is advised to have resume written from a professional who knows every bit of this business.
