VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: BOOKKEEPER – JAKARTA

AMARTA II is a USAID funded program that
aims to improve the competitiveness of the value chains of three high-value
commodities: Coffee, Cocoa and Horticultural crops and to increase the access
to credit of small holder farmers in these three sectors.


The project will work extensively with local government, farmers groups,
marketing companies, processors, input suppliers and other stakeholders to increase
the income of the whole sector and the proportion of income retained by
farmers.

Our project and offices are in Medan, Makassar, Bandung, and our National
Office is located in Jakarta.

We are currently seeking experienced professionals to fill the Bookkeeper based in Jakarta.

Bookkeeper.S/he will be responsible
for supporting the Finance Manager in the implementing of the overall
accounting and financial control systems for AMARTA II and for using adequate
and appropriate internal controls to meet generally-recognized accounting
standards. The Bookkeeper will report to and be under direct supervision of the
Finance Manager or designee.

Tasks and Responsibilities:            A. Financial Management:
-        Maintain daily records of cash receipts and
disbursements including receipt, payment and general journal vouchers  and input to QuickBooks
-        Maintain bank accounts and petty cash funds and
ensure timely replenishment.
-        Audit travel expense reports, benefits claims, out
of pocket expenses and reimburse expenses, upon authorization by the COP and in
accordance with USAID & AMARTA II policies and procedures.
-        Preparing and reporting tax report.
-        Make a payment to the bank.
 B. Financial Budgeting & Forecasting:
-        Assist the Value Chain Leader & Finance Manager
in preparing budgets, cash forecasts and other projections
-        Monitor conformity of expenditures to budgets.
 C. Financial Reporting:
-        Scanning all monthly data transaction.


Requirements:University Degree in Accounting,
Finance or similar field, minimum 2-3 years of experience in project management and operations, finance and
accounting of USAID funded programs. Experience with QuickBooks and
understanding tax regulation. Native speaker of Bahasa Indonesia; very good
speaking, reading, writing proficiency in English. Very good working knowledge
Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point,
the internet including email and web browsing. Demonstrated initiative and
self-motivation in handling all assigned tasks required.
