Vacancy in Hutan Harapan Rainforest - Business Development Manager.

Hutan Harapan is a groundbreaking initiative to
protect and restore around 20% of the remaining dry lowland forest in Sumatra. It is a collaborative initiative of BirdLife International, Burung Indonesia
(BirdLife in Indonesia) and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds
(BirdLife in the UK). This consortium works closely with the Indonesian
Ministry of Forestry.

One of our activities is to work together with indigenous
and local communities in developing Non Timber Forest Products (NTFP). As part
of supporting the livelihoods, PT REKI is seeking to support the people in
harvesting and marketing the NTFPs of Hutan Harapan in a sustainable way. To do
that, we are seeking to appoint the following position:

Post holder reports to   :
Head of Community Partnership Department

Your main duty is to identify and to develop NTFP based on
business opportunities and partnerships with local and indigenous communities
and to explore other potential NTFPs in the area of Harapan Rainforest.
This will include:
·         -. Applying for and obtaining license(s) for
identified products
·       
-. Identify markets for the NTFPs (dragonblood,
jelutung, resin, honey bee, etc)
·       
-. Setting up a business office in Harapan
Rainforest Project Camp Head Quarters
·       
-. Assist in developing coops with local
communities to ensure sustainable production of said products
·       
-. Assist in identifying and developing cottage
industries at Camp Head Quarters and with local communities
·       
-. Develop a business plan for the project

Qualifications:
·        -.  4-5 years related working experience in a
similar position
·         -. Graduated from reputable university majoring
Economy, Social-Economy Agriculture
·       
-. Experience in handling licensing of NTFPs
·         -. Knowledge of developing natural based business
opportunities
·       
-. Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and
pro active
·       
-. Familiarity with MS Office operation-. Ability to write and speak in English fluently will be a distinctive advantage.
