World Education Inc. (WEI) is seeking a Regional Director (RD) for its
programs in Indonesia and Timor Leste. World Education provides project
support and services in a wide range of sectors in Indonesia and Timor
Leste, including basic education, natural resources management,
agriculture, youth training, financial literacy and livelihoods
development. World Education’s main office is located in Jakarta. The RD
will report to the Vice President of World Education’s Asia Division.
The Regional Director is responsible for the technical, financial,
administrative management, and leadership of all projects as well as
liaison with donors and partners in Indonesia and Timor Leste.

*Responsibilities: *
n Serve as Home Office Technical Manager to WEI’s current contracts
in the areas of education, agriculture and financial literacy.
n Develop new business opportunities.
n Coordinate regularly with funding agencies.
n Provide leadership to program staff to ensure technical oversight,
planning, and sharing of project information. Provide management oversight
for Jakarta office project staff.
n Oversee existing financial system and reports, and coordinate
monthly review of budget and expenditures with WEI home office.
n Oversee existing administrative systems
n Represent WEI with current contractors, USAID, AusAID, UN agencies,
and NGOs on planning, coordination, and support for existing and new
programs; represent WEI with counterparts in the Government of Indonesia.
n Communicate and coordinate with home office regarding strategies
for present and future programs, staffing issues, and legal issues.
*Qualifications:*

Ø Excellent management, communication, and leadership skills and
experience
Ø Indonesian language ability desirable
Ø Experience living and working in Southeast Asia, preferably Indonesia
Ø A degree in Education, International Development or related sector
with relevant experience
Ø Ability and willingness to travel frequently to field sites
throughout Indonesia and Timor Leste.
Ø Proven new business development skills
Ø Successful experience in program management position for at least
five years
Ø Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
Ø Strong facilitation and training skills
