3E Specialist and SCM Coordinator

Tanoto Foundation(www.tanotofoundation.org) is a not-for-profit foundation which strives to be a center of excellence for facilitating and improving access to quality education and to empowerment opportunities that contribute to poverty reduction. The Foundation currently runs a number of philanthropic programs in Indonesia ranging from scholarship,  teachers training,  school improvement programs, research support, to small business development.

Tanoto Foundation is currently looking for candidates for positions below:

Education, Empowerment and Enhancement (3Es) Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTIONS :
·        Providing direct oversight to program implementation in the field
·        Lead the development and implementation of pilot 3Es programs.
·        Design the program scale-up, ensuring sustainable implementation of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
·        University degree relevant to education and understanding of the complexities of development programming in a rural context
·        Minimum of 2 years project management experience in education
·        Demonstrated skills in program design and proposal development, including partnership relations
·        Demonstrated experience in project management and capacity building of staff and/or working in an advisor or mentor role
·        Demonstrated ability to build strong relations with local and national government, other partners and businesses
·        Willingness to spend at least 50% of time in semi-remote rural areas
·        Excellent communication skills, including written and spoken English

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Based in Riau with up to 50% travel to field offices and project



School Based Management (SBM) Coordinator


JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
·        Oversee the governance and management of company-owned schools in North Sumatera, Riau and Jambi Region.
·        Create educational baseline profile and provide recommendation for PM of Tanoto Foundation in developing standards and quality improvements of the schools.
·        Propose and lead professional development trainings to improve the capacities of the schools.
·        Facilitate the schools on development of school management, educational system and accountabilities, and also improve the involvement of parents and communities in the governance and management of school communities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
·         University Degree in Education and or relevant fields from reputable university, with extensive trainings in educational leadership and management – A Master’s degrees would be advantage.
·         A minimum of 5 years experience in working for reputable private schools, and minimum of 2 year in managing change of leading private school or Yayasan.
·         Demonstrated leadership skills in capacity building and quality improvement of schools.
·         Demonstrated skills in developing training modules for teachers, principals and parents, education curricula for schools, and strong facilitation experience.
·         Demonstrated ability to achieve results, including team building – could work independently and as team player
·         Demonstrated skills in proposal development and partnerships relations.
·         Knowledge and experience in Project Management is highly desirable.
·         Strong communication skills, ability to communicate in English (both oral and written) is good.
·         Able to do multi-tasking, working in high pressure to meet results, working with minimum supervision and multi-cultural environment.
·         Able to use computers and MS Windows Applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point)
·         Willing to travel to project sites as required.

WORKING CONDITION:
Based in Jakarta Office, with frequent travel to field as required. (Jakarta 60%, Travel 40%).
