Technical Service Specialist

Mercury Marine has an extensive network of sales offices strategically located throughout the world, and over 7,000 dealers and distributors worldwide in selling and marketing its products.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the Service team. He/She will be located in our Jakarta office and will report to the After Sales Technical Advisor for Indonesia.

Responsibilities:
Major Function


    Implement existing programs designed to achieve proper service of products sold by Mercury Marine in Indonesia.The products include Mercury Outboards, Mercruiser Gas, Mercury Diesel, Cummins Mercruiser Diesel, Quicksilver Inflatables, Quicksilver P&A
    Training our dealers technical personnel to achieve the above
    Support dealers in-calls, faxes or e-mails to achieve proper level of service in area of responsibility

Major Responsibilities

    Provide product training /coaching to customers/dealers when necessary
    Analyze and suggest solution to service problems reported in letter, e-mail, phone call by our dealers
    Investigate, solve service field problems and provide written report to supervisor.
    Inspect and analyse parts failures to determine approval or rejection of dealer’s warranty claims.
    Provide timely, accurate service information for the repair and prevention of problems on all products.
    Provide on-site service such sea trial and boat commissioning of boats
    Instruct and motivate distributor service personnel.
    Encourage dealers to implement and invest in Mercury Marine  service programs with the overall objective to improve and reach the highest possible standard
    Maintain regular contacts with dealers to follow-up the implementation of our service and warranty policies as well as the implementation of dealers’ plans.
    Control if the level of equipment, manpower and service offered by our dealers are up to our requirements.

Requirements:
Qualification, technical knowledge & Experience

    Graduate in technical engineering or equivalent
    Minimum 5 years working experience in an after-sales marine, automobile, motorcycle or similar type industry.
    Knowledge on 2 & 4 cycles engines.
    Diesel experience is an advantage
    Knowledge on electronics principles and able to use Computer Diagnostic tools.
    Able to diagnose and analyze product and service related problems.
    Experience in coaching and providing technical training to others will be highly regarded
    Fluent in English both spoken and written
    Experience in Microsoft tools : Excel , Powerpoint , Word and Internet
