VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: TRAINING COORDINATOR – JAKARTA

AMARTA II is a USAID funded program that aims to improve
the competitiveness of the value chains of export and high-value agricultural commodities,
including Coffee, Cocoa and Horticultural crops through improving access to
credit, information and markets in these three sectors.

The
project will work extensively with local government, farmers groups, marketing
companies, processors, input suppliers and other stakeholders to increase the
income of the whole sector and the proportion of income retained by farmers.
Our project and offices are in Medan,
Makassar, Bandung, and our National Office is located in Jakarta.
We are currently seeking experienced
professionals to fill the Training Coordinator based in Jakarta.

Training Coordinator.S/he will be responsible to provide quality
assurance to the training activities being implemented by all AMARTA II staff
and co-implementers to ensure high quality delivery of training and technical
materials to targeted beneficiaries.


Specific Duties of this position:
-        Oversee
and advise all Sell More For More activities as well as other program
activities that involve external training.In coordination with the
Communication Specialist, support technical experts in the creation, production
and updating of training materials.
-           Review
all training materials for their quality and appropriateness for adult
education of farmers and other actors in agricultural value chains.
-           Maintain
a master schedule of all trainings and interactions with farmer organizations
and their members.
-           In
coordination with the Communication Specialist, coordinate and lead farmer
organization outreach meetings.
-           Monitor
the quality and timeliness of all training activities.
-           Sample
training attendee feedback from farmer organization leaders, lead farmers and
members to verify quality of training.
-           Archive
training materials and modules.
-           Facilitate
team discussions to identify recommendations for improving the content and
delivery of training.
-           Facilitate
discussions among AMARTA II training implementers to resolve training
conflicts; elevate issues to value chain leader and COP as appropriate.
-           Collaborate
with M&E to assist in the collection of output and outcome indicators for
training activities.
-           In
coordination with the Communication Specialist, communicate progress on
training activities to project leaders and home office staff through routine
reports
-           In
coordination with the Communication Specialist, prepare informational and
progress materials for informing external stakeholders.


Requirements:University Degree in Business,
Journalism, English, Public Relations, or the equivalent in other training and
experience. Minimum 3 years of in-country experience with designing and/or delivering
training with strong understanding of adult education techniques; experience
with agriculture and/or farmer organization strengthening preferred. Demonstrated
organization skills to track progress of multiple trainings and activities. Proven
ability to design and develop effective adult training programs. Strong
communications skills (oral, written, presentational) in Indonesian and English.
Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel,
Word, Outlook & Power Point, the internet including email and web browsing.


Initial duration of assignment is 12
months.
