Millennium Challenge Account - Indonesia (MCA-Indonesia) is a trustee institution that represents the Government of Indonesia to implement a five-year (2013-2018) Millennium Challenge Corporation's Compact Program, a major pillar of the United States-Indonesia Comprehensive Partnership and the largest single pledge made by the United States to Indonesia to date.

MCA-Indonesia has three projects under Compact Program: Green Prosperity, Community-based Health and Nutrition to Reduce Stunting and Procurement Modernization. Our projects are designed, managed and implemented by Indonesians, for the Indonesian people. Our most important development work happens where it should be: the districts and the villages.

Our goal is to reduce poverty through economic growth. Our program is country-driven, reform-centered, and results-focused in order to maximize its effectiveness and long-term sustainability.

To reach the goal, MCA-Indonesia is seeking highly dynamic and deliverable-oriented professionals for a better Indonesia :

ENVIRONMENT & SOCIAL PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST

The Environmental and Social Performance [ESP] Specialist will work with the ESP Director to actively manage, supervise, monitor and review the environmental and social performance of Compact activities, the implementation of the MCA-Indonesia’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and the proper execution of  Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP) of all activities undertaken by MCA-Indonesia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         The ESP Specialist has the primary responsibility to manage, supervise and aid with the development, implementation and review of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) for MCA-Indonesia with specific guidelines and procedures developed for each of the following Compact activities: (1) Green Prosperity; (2) Health and Nutrition; and (3) Procurement Modernization to ensure that they meet the environmental and social performance and safeguard requirements under Indonesian law and as stipulated in the Compact, including MCC Guidelines on Environmental and Social Assessment, MCC Gender Policy, IFC Performance Standards, and MCA-Indonesia Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) .

·         Managing and monitoring environmental impact assessment and management plans of activities undertaken by MCA-Indonesia to ensure that they comply with the MCA-Indonesia ESMS and Indonesian law.
