children in need. Since 1919, we have been fighting for children’s
rights, saving their lives and providing hope for brighter futures
worldwide. In Indonesia, Save the Children currently works in eleven
provinces, has staff of approximately 200 local professionals, and
programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and
Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response. Yayasan
Sayangi Tunas Cilik (Save the Children) is seeking to fill the
following position:
CHILD PROTECTION ADVISER
1 position, based in Jakarta
Code : CPA
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Child Protection Adviser (CPA) is the foremost
technical expert on child protection in the Indonesia CO. S/he works
with the Program Development and Quality (PDQ) team to ensure the
quality delivery of all CP programs in the development
and humanitarian contexts by ensuring that they adhere to programmatic
good practice and that they have strong monitoring, accountability,
evaluation, and learning (MEAL) systems. S/he has technical assistance
oversight of national (multi-region) CP programs
including the Families First Signature Program and children with
disability project. S/he is responsible for maintaining and developing
relevant high-level contacts within the Indonesian Government, among
peer organizations, and across civil society. S/he
is also responsible to identify program development opportunities and
lead technical contributions to relevant proposals. In addition, the
CPA will have extensive contact with Save the Children members technical
and fundraising staff. S/he is also member
of the national safeguarding policy team and of the Extended Senior
Management Team.
