Tanoto Foundation(www.tanotofoundation.org) is a not-for-profit foundation which strives to be a center of excellence for facilitating and improving access to quality educationand to empowerment opportunities that contribute to poverty reduction. The Foundation currently runs a number of philanthropic programs in Indonesia ranging from scholarship, teachers training, school improvement programs, research support, to small business development. Tanoto Foundation is currently looking  for Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist (Jakarta based). Please find details for the positions below.
 
Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
 
JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the development of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system in Tanoto Foundation and its affiliated companies. The incumbent is responsible for developing and enhancing the M&E instruments/ tools, procedures, and documents of Tanoto Foundation’s programs and affiliated business-led CD/CSR programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
 
Responsibility #1:  Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
  1. To support the designing of M&E system for all Tanoto Foundation’s programs. 
  2. In coordination with the TF CSR Program Manager, develop and enhance M&E system for CD/CSR Programs of affiliated businesses.
  3. To compile submitted monitoring data of business-led CD/CSR programs from the field offices.
  4. To conduct field-visit to monitor and validate such reports.
  5. Together with TF CSR Specialist, collect and compile BG’s CD/CSR Progress Report.
  6. To develop and manage M&E instruments, tools, and documentations. 
  7. To lead and/or to conduct required census/ survey/ study.
  8. Ensure and support implementation of Monitoring System for business led CD/CSR programs.
 
 
Responsibility #2:  General Programmatic Support
  1. To support the relevant M&E portions of all TF programs as directed by the Head of M&E/ Head of Tanoto Foundation.
  2. To contribute in Annual Program Planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
1)         Education:
·         At the minimum university degree in Statistics, Economic or related fields.
2)         Experience:
·         At least five years of working experience, of which at least three years are in program monitoring and evaluation. 
·         Previous experiences in education/ economic empowerment/ CSR program is an advantage.
3)         Specific technical skills:
·         Strong interpersonal skills.
·         Demonstrated skill in survey management, survey instruments development, and writing reports both in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
·         Good Knowledge in English and Fluency in Indonesian, both written and verbal
·         Very good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and internet research.
·         Very good practical skills in survey/ census and statistics applications.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS:
 
Based in Jakarta with up to 75% travel to project sites within and outside the province (i.e Jambi and North Sumatera)
