Part-Time Program Assistant-AWARE II


Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) seeks one Indonesia-based Program Assistant to serve as a part-time support team member for the JPMorgan Chase Foundation-funded, Accelerating Work Achievement and Readiness for Employment II (AWARE II) project. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and working in close collaboration with the Country Manager in implementing EDC's Work Ready Now! (WRN) curriculum, Work-based learning (WBL), Innovative Bootcamps, and other associated assignments in six AWARE II secondary technical and vocational training (TVET) schools in Indonesia. The incumbent will also support and liaise with the Country Manager based in Jakarta, and the Operations Manager based in Thailand.

Job Responsibilities:
·         Assisting the Country Manager in coordinating project activities under his/her guidance
·         Researching, compiling, and synthesizing information
·         Supporting contractual compliance and following up on expected outcomes
·         Drafting or translating materials to/from local language and English
·         Assisting in developing internal and external communication materials for website content, brochure, leaflet, project update, etc.
·         Assisting with scanning, printing, and copying materials
·         Supporting with database input and management, as needed
·         Submitting expense claims to accounting for timely disbursement and payments
·         Supporting procurement processes and ensuring proper documentation and compliance
·         Providing logistical and administrative support to project staff, including for any events or training activities
·         Documenting, cataloging, and maintaining records
·         Other tasks as assigned

Other Responsibilities:
·         Participate in internal administrative and operational meetings, as required
·         Facilitate and/or support arrangements for organizing meetings, trainings and workshops
·         Perform other duties as may be assigned

Desirable Qualifications:
·         Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in administration, finance, procurement, project coordination or other related disciplines
·         Educational and/or work experience in curriculum development, instructional design, workforce development, preferably in an NGO, international organization or business
·         Strong organizational skills
·         Strong analytical skills and aptitude for details
·         Capacity to work in difficult conditions and function well under pressure
·         Computer literacy, preferably including database applications and knowledge of website management
·         Excellent communication and report writing skills
·         Strong interpersonal communications, negotiation, presentations skills and experience working in a multi-cultural environment
·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team
·         Ability to work on multi-tasks and to meet deadlines
·         Fluent in Bahasa Indonesian and English

Application Instructions:
This is a local hire position and is open to Indonesian citizens and non-citizens with valid work authorization.  Salary will be provided in local currency. This is a part-time position (approximately 16 hours a week) for 12 months with the possibility of extension based on availability of funding.
