Vacancy as Administration Officer - Lombok Based

From July 29 to August 19, 2019, the island of Lombok experienced a cluster of earthquakes and aftershocks, with five earthquakes measuring between M5 and M6.9. By the end of August, BNPB estimates more than 1,000 earthquakes and aftershocks had occurred and there have been are 560 casualties, 1,466 injured 396,032 IDPs and 83,392 damaged houses.  Mercy Corps is supporting seven (7) villages in East Lombok to cope with the impact of the earthquakes and to initiate their social, physical and economic recovery.

Administration Officer
The Administration Officer will be responsible for conducting administrative functions and supporting procurement needs for the Lombok Response Program while ensuring efficient administrative support to field staff. He/She will coordinate with the Admin Coordinator for Disaster Response Program in Jakarta to ensure smooth flowing of routine, administrative work and program support operations.
Specific tasks include dealing with all logistics, vendors and consultant, managing all document filing and scanning, and providing both written and oral translations - Bahasa Indonesia-English (if needed). Computer skills are required, and the Officer must be an independent thinker and have strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience in scheduling and managing program needs.
Qualifications:
·                     Diploma/Bachelor Degree in public administration or any other relevant field;
·                     At least 2 years of administrative and procurement experience is required; 
·                     The candidate must have strong communication, English speaking and writing skills;
·                     Cultural sensitive and able to work effectively with a wide range of people;
·                     He/she should have pleasant personality, good communication skill, be organized, efficient,
proactive, flexible and able to work under pressure and with short deadlines when required;
·                     Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer program are required;
·                     Candidate must be willing to travel regularly and works on weekends or evening as necessary.

This vacant position will be for 6 months as temporary staff.
