OBJECTIV
In the third-year project implementation, USAID SEA Project continues to support MMAF and DKP to strengthen policies, laws, regulations, and/or the implementation to improve
and enhance the practice of ecosystem approach for fisheries management
(EAFM), and to improve the management of marine protected areas (MPA)
and expand MPA coverage. In this year, USAID SEA Project is trying to
ensure that all the key project deliverables that would
be significantly supporting MMAF and DKPs to improve effectiveness
sustainable fisheries and MPA management in the field, such as
functional Fisheries Management Council (FMC) for Fisheries Management
Area 715, MPA management body at site level, as well as policies, and
management operational protocol of those institutions can be completed
and delivered. In addition, in the third-year project implementation,
USAID SEA Project start to preparing institutionalization phase of the
project where the project, MMAF and DKPs can start to review and
determine the good innovations, knowledges, and skill-practices that
will be institutionalized well into working system, and institution of
MMAF and DKPs at provincial level by the end of the project. Considering
the dynamic of workplan implementation in this year, USAID SEA Project
is recruiting a Policy and
Institutional Specialist to work together with USAID SEA Project Team in
the institutionalization phase of the project.
