ChildFund
Swipe Safe is a project aimed at preventing online abuse and
exploitation of children. It mobilizes parents, youth, and schools to
play an active role in children’s online safety. Swipe Safe is working
to enhance the skills and knowledge of teenagers to enable access and
use the internet in a safe and effective way, while also supporting
teachers and parents on a range of important concepts to help them
safely navigate the online world.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
LEADERSHIP
• Lead
the implementation of project activities within approved plans,
budgets, and agreements, and in compliance with organizational policies/
procedures, operational systems, and donor requirements and
regulations.
• Directly work with project partner’s team and other key stakeholders, to reach program quality delivery.
• Ensure the implementation of the project executed as in proposal approval (end to end).
• Implementing the project based on the agreed quality standard and budget.
• Collecting photos and stories for contributing to the media and communication, organization website, and organization profile.
• Managing the stakeholders involving in the campaign and influencing work to optimize the results of the project.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
• Lead
the planning process of the project, responsible from end to end of
implementation, and do routine/ regular monitoring program activities by
providing technical inputs based on relevant field-based experiences.
• Conduct
program/project monitoring visits, and spot checks in the areas of
assignment and address identified performance problems or discrepancies.
• Create local ownership of the project through deliberate engagement of the district government line-agencies
• Coordinating
the campaign event with the identified stakeholders for influencing
decision-making, practices, and behaviors required to meet the project
objectives.
• Develop and submit the project annual planning to the line manager as a basis for the project implementation.
• Managing project schedule and scope to meet the target and commitment as stated in the logical framework and the ADPlan.
• Sharing
learning documents and reflections to the country team to inspire
better practices and adopt breakthrough from the project to other
initiatives.
• Contribute to program development to promote scale-up and replication of the project.
• Assessing,
documenting, and analysing the risk related to the project through
intensive consultation with project stakeholders and provide update and
recommendation to manage and mitigate the risk factors.
• Proactively update the organization on the potential risks that may potentially affect the success of the project.
NETWORK/PARTNERSHIP
• Build
relationships and collaborate with partners (GO’s, NGOs, Schools,
institutions, media and others) at local levels to speed up the project
implementation, increase resource sharing and complementation
(financial, technical, etc.).
• Work
with the finance team to manage the budget, track spending, and ensure
timely financial reporting. Coordinating the campaign event with the
identified stakeholders for influencing decision-making, practices, and
behaviors required to meet the project objectives.
• Influencing school principals and district governments to improve their policy and practices
CAPACITY BUILDING
• Prioritize
data collection as part of his/her contribution in mobilizing fund and
resources for scaling-up and replication of the intervention.
• Provide technical skills and manage training as planned in the project
• Training
the school campaign team based on the developed campaign guidelines and
align the campaign works to the other campaign efforts.
QUALITY of PROGRAM
• Deliver the project to meet the quality standard as stated in the project proposal
• Work closely with Specialists to ensure the quality of the program delivered.
• Report the implementation of the project in regular basis to track the progress and addressing challenges.
• Collect and analyze data for developing evidence, learning, and knowledge for organization and the program participants.
• Provide monthly progress report
• In
collaboration with M&E Specialist, monitor the output of the
project in monthly basis and adjust the action plan to keep the outputs
and project performance on the track.
• Conducting
regular monitoring visits to meet the target of outputs and budget as
identified in the project log-frame and the budget plan.
CHILD SAFEGUARDING
• Remain
alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant
knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong
safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and
procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the child
safeguarding policy
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s
degree, preferably in early education, psychology, Social Work or
relevant human services discipline, or equivalent relevant work
experience; advanced degree desirable
• 5
– 10 years of experience with child protection/safety, child protection
and/or youth education projects. Knowledge and experience in online
safety is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in project cycle management (PCM)
• Experience with deliver high quality and effective training to communities, students, teachers etc.
• Skills in participatory, community organizing and development to strengthen local organizations
• Demonstrated
high-level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills including the
ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally
with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, social, and political issues.
• Computer proficiency in common office software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English
• Good oral/written communication and organizational skills
• Good team player
• Having a growth mindset
• Problem solving and critical thinking
• Must be able to travel to the project site, where applicable
