(Extended) RFP SUN CSN-XX: Hiring EO Institution to Support SUN CSN Asia Regional Meeting

Nutrition International is a global non for profit organization with a focus on improving global health through nutrition, particularly by addressing malnutrition and promoting access to essential nutrients. We collaborate with governments, organizations, and communities to design and implement evidence-based programs and policies that aim to enhance the availability and accessibility of nutrients, encourage healthy eating habits, and strengthen nutrition systems and governance. We work closely with governments as an expert ally to deliver low-cost, high-impact nutrition interventions that increase impact without increasing complexity or cost, as well as help countries overcome barriers to scaling up nutrition, domestic resource mobilization, and local government capacity and ownership.

The SUN Civil Society Network (SUN CSN) is a part of the SUN Movement that aims to Involve civil society in the development and implementation of national nutrition plans. The network includes over 4,000 organizations from various sectors that actively contribute to national policies and plans for scaling up nutrition. SUN CSN encourages coordination among civil society actors to ensure that their programs and resources align with national nutrition priorities. SUN CSN has also facilitated the creation of regional coordination groups in four regions to help SUN countries achieve their targets. The SUN CSN Asia Coordination Group (ACG) is one such group that fosters ongoing knowledge sharing and collaboration among thirteen civil society alliances in Asia. The ACG provides a forum for Asia Region CSAs to enhance their capacity to support the effective implementation of national nutrition plans through information sharing, knowledge exchange, and joint advocacy opportunities.

Nutrition International has been the coordinator of the SUN CSA in Indonesia for the past four years and actively engages in SUN CSN events. Nutrition International in Indonesia has been tasked with hosting the Annual Regional Meeting of ACG in Indonesia in July 2023. The purpose of the meeting is to showcase the progress, best practices, and challenges of the SUN Civil Society alliances in the region. The meeting also aims to identify advocacy opportunities at the national, regional, and global levels, develop a regional advocacy plan that aligns with the SUN CSN theory of change, and enhance the capacity of the SUN Civil Society alliances in various nutrition-related themes.

Nutrition International is looking to an Event Organizer Institution who will collaborate closely with Nutrition International’s appointed consultant, Country Office in Indonesia and the ACG Regional Coordinator, from the planning phase until the post-event stage. The event organizer institution will provide support throughout the event's planning and execution stages, beginning with the initial preparation of the agenda and concluding with the post-event evaluation and documentation of the meeting proceedings and outcomes.
