PROGRAM OFFICER – CHILD PROTECTION – 1 position based in Jakarta
CWS/Indonesia (https://cwsglobal.org/our-work/asia/indonesia/) is an international relief, development, and
refugee assistance agency that has been operating in Indonesia for many years
under an agreement with the Ministry of Social Affairs. CWS Indonesia is the
field office of CWS, Inc. headquartered in New York. CWS assists the most
vulnerable, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, or gender by working
with partners to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice
around the world.
CWS is implementing Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration
(BPRM)-funded and Department of Home Affairs (DHA)-funded program in Jakarta
that assists refugees and asylum seekers to access basic service, such as
health care, and provides vocational training and education programs.
THE ROLE:
The Program Officer-Child Protection
(PO-CP) is required to support CWS in establishing child friendly and
supportive environment for unaccompanied children, children at risk and child
survivors by enhancing child protection mechanisms. The Program Officer-Child Protection is
responsible for ensuring effective case management focusing on unaccompanied
children and other refugee children at risk according to UNHCR standard
operating procedures and CWS Indonesia approach.
