TB Drug Management Advisor - Indonesia

Since 1971, MSH has worked in more than 150 countries to help ensure sustainable, resilient, and equitable access to quality health care around the globe. MSH began working in Indonesia since 1980 with focus on improving child health, decentralizing health services, expanding access to care and treatment for TB dan strengthening pharmaceutical management. In 2023 MSH has awarded for USAID BEBAS TB the five-year activity having the aim of reducing TB incidence and mortality by supporting the Indonesian government to address the critical gaps and challenges of the TB program. This Activity will build on the work of previous USAID activities and current projects to achieve its goal. BEBAS-TB’s support will focus on improving access and utilization to quality and patient centered comprehensive TB services.  To achieve the objectives MSH will need TB Drug Management Advisor - Indonesia



About the Job :
The TB Drug Management Advisor responsibilities will include the overall strategic planning, coordination, and technical direction of drug management activities to ensure drug logistics management systems, distribution, stockout monitoring, pharmacovigilance at national, provincial, district, public and private health facilities are in place and provide technical capacity building at each level. They will work closely with the advisors and all project team to ensure progress is being achieved towards ensuring quality drug management services and the overall activity goal.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in national drug and supplies quantification, designing distribution systems, stockout monitoring and pharmacovigilance activities.
  • Collaborate with other organizations from public and non-public sectors in quantifying national needs, map available resources and develop a coordinated quantification, procurement, distribution, and monitoring systems.
  • Lead the implementation of TB patient drug kits in the project provinces.
  • Mentor and provide technical assistance to BEBAS-TB team, NTP, provinces and district health offices and health facilities on TB dug management.

Qualifications:
  • Professional Degree in pharmacy or related discipline.
  • Significant work experience, a minimum of 7+ years in pharmaceutical /public health management with relevant experience in pharmaceutical management and training for TB.
  • Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of Indonesian’s public health and pharmaceutical sector and long-term work experience in Indonesia preferred. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work flexibly in a team-oriented, culturally diverse environment
