Project title: Intermittent Screening and Treatment or Intermittent
Prevention Therapy for control of malaria in pregnancy in Indonesia
(STOPMIP)
The positions offer opportunities for a motivated candidate to join an
international collaborative project between the Eijkman Institute for
Molecular Biology and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK. The
Eijkman Institute is a prestigious well established internationally
acclaimed research institute advancing and contributing to infectious
and non-infectious disease based scientific research. Liverpool School
of Tropical Medicine is an international centre of excellence with up to
date access and expertise in tropical infectious diseases making them a
world leader in their field.
Time management and organisational skills and ability to work across a
multi-disciplinary team are essential.
Field Site supervisors
Purpose: will work under direct supervision of the Field Research
Assistants to assist in conducting the trial according to the study
protocol and supervision of the study nursing team.
Qualification: Nursing degree or midwife diploma
Current registration with nursing or Midwife academy or association
2 years experience or more is essential
Additional Merit: work experience in rural setting for 6 months or more.
Good command of spoken and written English
The successful candidate will be based in South west Sumba district and
work closely with the Research Assistants and scientific team. He/she is
open to learning new skills and be responsible for monitoring
participant enrollment by field midwives/nurses and ensure proper sample
collection and completion of study forms.
