Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik seeks Media & Brand Manager - Jakarta



Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As ‘Prospect Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:


Media & Brand Manager
Code : MBM
1 Position based in Jakarta


ROLE PURPOSE:
The Media and Brand Manager will be responsible for managing, developing and driving YSTC’s media and brand activity. Working alongside and report to the Communication Director, Media Manager will contribute in maximizing awareness of YSTC’s works using multiple media channels (press, TV, radio, digital publisher and social media) to support and achieve organization sustainable goals in a creative and cost effective manner




QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    Essential
    • A trained journalist with a minimum of 7-10 years’ experience, preferably having worked in a busy press office that covers developmental issues
    • Bachelor degree in communication/media or other major with relevant professional experience.
    • Established presence and stature in media space
    • Advanced media writing skills and the ability to articulate complex issues and adapt them for a variety of audiences
    • Ability to build and maintain media networks at a national level, regional and local level
    • Willingness to be on call during holidays for breaking new stories and to share responsibility with the team to cover media.
    • Proven in depth media handling experience
    • Knowledge of different types of media channel
    • Demonstrable experience with building effective media campaigns
    • Have skill on brand management and media policies development
    • Ability to develop brand value, relationships and successfully manage brand through various platforms
    • Ability to analyse media research as well as translate into strategy.
    • Experience on media budget planning and or KPI
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Analytical acumen, team player, paired with agile mindset and can do attitude.
    • Has an open mindset towards, embraces and continuously initiates and implements change.
    • Able to develop and build strong relationships with people throughout the organisation.
    • Highly organized, methodical and have excellent attention to detail.
    • Positive, energetic and have the tenacity to see solutions successfully through to implementation
    • Able to work within a team but also have the confidence and ability to take ownership of issues and solutions
    • Experience of working with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external
    • Expert an managing own workload and prioritizing task with completing deadlines.
