Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a German implementing organisation which provides
services worldwide in the field of international cooperation for sustainable
development. We work to shape

years, GIZ has been working jointly with partners in Indonesia. Currently, GIZ
works with over 300 employees in Indonesia, of whom over 80 per cent are
national personnel.
In the context of the bilateral development
cooperation between the Governments of Germany and Indonesia, the Innovation
and Investment for Inclusive Sustainable Economic Development (ISED) Project
will assist to strengthen the
capacity of private actors for promoting inclusive employment in selected
economic sectors. It works closely with the private sector (starting point) and
in collaboration with the National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) as
the executing agency of the project and other relevant counterparts. ISED works
on major themes of Inclusive Employment and Labor Market, Skill Development and
Qualification, Inclusive Business and Private Sector Development within two
sectors (Sustainable Tourism and Manufacturing (Sub-sector Food and Beverage
Industry)) and four field of activities (“Outputs”): 1. Linkages to national
level, replication and connectivity; 2. Collective training and cross-company
qualification; 3. Qualification of SMEs in the supply chain through Inclusive
Business Models; 4. Cross-company working-group.
We are seeking one qualified
Indonesian candidate for the following position:
Junior Advisor for
Monitoring,
Evaluation and Learning as well as Project Management Support
A. Responsibilities
The Junior Advisor for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning as
well as Project Management Support reports to the Principal Advisor of the ISED
project. This position combines two distinct tasks, each taking about 50%
of the total time input:
- Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning: This will include support in terms of data collection, compilation, preliminary analysis, learning, and reporting in close collaboration with the Advisor to Project Management.
- Project Management Support: This will include day-to-day administrative, logistical and organisational support under the supervision of the Principal Advisor.
B.
Tasks
1. Closely
liaison with the Advisor to Project Management in terms of data collection and
data management
- Collects quantitative data on activities of the project such as trainings and workshops and aggregates them on a regular basis
- Undertake the routine field checking of the M&E-related works supervise quality of the performance in the field and ensure data accuracy and completeness of data
- Keep the record on field visits performed incorporating challenges and lessons learn important for Project implementation
- Ensure that primary stakeholders are involved to the fullest extent possible in undertaking M&E activities
- Ensure that field data is gathered and registered, verifying the quality of data entered and helping to produce initial statistical analyses informing on any inconsistencies that have been observed
- Input all data gathered are stored in project database
- Undertake routine data quality control
- Assist in assessment of data quality
- Filing documentation (reports, meetings, minutes etc)
- Assist in preparation of power point presentation for various meetings
2. Closely
liaison with the Advisor to Project Management in terms of learning and sharing
- Assist in developing project learning agenda and questions
- Ensure that lessons and experiences from projects activities emerging are identified and captured
3.
Provide
project management support to the Principal Advisor and Senior Management Team
- Assist in project management meetings/events such as Operational Planning, Technical Committee Meeting, Steering Committee Meeting and Internal Progress Meeting
- Manage, organise and archive supporting documents
- Conduct background research and preparation of presentations or meeting reports
- Perform other duties and tasks upon the request of the project management

Required Qualifications, Competences and
Experience
Qualifications
- University degree in social sciences, development studies, statistics, economics or related field
- Training/certification in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning including data collection and analysis preferred
Professional experience
- A minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in M&E and Learning or relevant working experience.
- Familiar with results-based management and other strategic planning approaches
- Familiar with survey software and data input applications
Other knowledge, additional
competences
- Strong coordinating and analytical skills.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook, database, spreadsheet and graphics presentations.
- Proficiency in statistical software will be an advantage.
- Fluency in writing, reading and speaking in English and Indonesian, knowledge of German language will be an advantage.
- Proactive, independent work approach and a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Willingness to up-skill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management.
