Job Description
IPAC,
a Jakarta-based NGO, is looking for an Indonesian analysis to conduct
field research and write reports on political Islam and extremist
movements primarily in Indonesia, but with attention to the Philippines
and Malaysia, and with a particular focus on the role of women, She or
he will be expected to produce at least three publishable reports per
year, preferably in English; formulate policy recommendations;
contribute to policy discussions; and deliver lectures or briefings in
English on request to different audiences.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate should be an Indonesian national with:
- MA (S2) or equivalent in the social sciences, journalism, law or other relevant field;
- excellent analytical skills;
- at least 2 years’ experience doing relevant field research, with demonstrated ability to write quickly and coherently;
- high level of fluency in English (speaking and writing);
- ability to work independently and under pressure;
- ability to travel frequently and work as part of a small team.
