Job Vacancy Private Sector Manager

Jhpiego, an affiliate of the Johns Hopkins University, builds global and local partnerships to enhance the quality of health care services for women and families around the worlds. Jhpiego is a global leader in the creation of innovative approaches to developing human resources for health. The Jhpiego Indonesia program is aimed to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes in Indonesia. We are currently implementing several programs in Indonesia with a variety of funding sources. In order to reach our goals, we are now seeking for potential workforce to be part of the Jhpiego Indonesia team. The following position is :

Private Sector Manager _ PSM

Department: Global Programs
Position Reports To: Country Director, Indonesia
Positions Supervised: None
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Overview:

Jhpiego in Indonesia has a diverse portfolio that includes USG, Corporations, and foundations. Nurturing the existing relationships with the corporate partners and developing new partnerships will be the key responsibility of the Private Sector Manager. The Private Sector Manager will actively seek opportunities for partnership with Corporations in Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

- Actively seek opportunities and conduct leads development to secure funding from private sector donors in Indonesia
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing corporations and foundations
- Draft proposals and concept note in collaboration with program and technical staff
- Provide general managerial and reporting oversight to the ongoing private sector programs
- Identify opportunities for cost-share for USAID programs
- Represent Jhpiego at AMCHAM and other private sector meetings
- Provide input toward business development strategic planning for the country and the region as necessary

Required Qualifications:

- 5+ years experience in conducting business development specifically securing private sector and independent foundation funds
- Relevant experience working in a private sector/ corporate, or government environment
- Advanced degree in Management and/ or Public health
- Knowledge of Maternal and newborn health and Indonesian Health Systems preferred
- Experience in the development of strategic and tactical plans in cooperation with other stakeholders
- Fluent in English and Indonesian Bahasa
- Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent skills in facilitation, team building and coordination
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically
