Finance Manager, Indonesia
World Learning is seeking a Finance Manager on a USAID-funded PRESTASI III project in Indonesia. Recruitment is contingent on successful award of the project. Duration: 5 years. Background: The purpose of PRESTASI (means “achievement” in Indonesian) is to improve the performance and leadership skills of Indonesian professionals which, in turn, will help to promote development in Indonesia. Specifically, PRESTASI provides training and technical services required to strengthen and expand the base of skilled, high-performing professionals and institutions in Indonesia’s public and private sector.
Responsibilities: The Finance Manager will report to and work with the Chief of Party to support her/him in assigned duties and specifically those tasks that relate to financial planning, management and reporting. Major responsibilities will be directed towards managing USAID/Indonesia participant training funds for project participants.
Establish and maintain financial management and accounting control systems for training expenditures by development objective.
Provide and/or arrange financial analysis services related to institutional diagnoses, training planning and evaluation.
Prepare pipeline analysis of the project for USAID/Indonesia
Coordinate with USAID/Indonesia’s Office of Financial Management, as appropriate, regarding the management of U.S. dollars and local currencies.
Direct the Contractor’s cost containment efforts and other cost-effectiveness programs.
Establish and maintain grant management procedures.
Manage internal control process, procurement, audit and other administrative functions.
Qualifications:
M.S. degree in accounting or financial management with 7 years of progressive experience, or
B.S. degree with at least 7 years of career/experience equivalent to a Master’s degree.
Experience with public or private sector management, financial analysis, cost accounting.
Relevant experience in developing countries.
Demonstrated capacity to supervise a complex financial management or general ledger system.
Demonstrated capacity to manage the financial and administration management functions within the broadened results-oriented programming.
Experience working in Indonesia
Must have excellent ability to read, write and speak in Bahasa Indonesian
