Greenpeace Job Vacancy : Forest Political Campaigner

To collect, collate and provide information and advice on political, legislative and business components of Indonesia’s forest protection policies and legislations, specifically on REDD and REDD+ and CITES and other multilateral and bilateral forest related international agreements, to develop and implement Greenpeace’s Indonesia forest campaign.

Our Ideal candidates required academic qualification in international political or business sciences or law, or equivalent experience with minimum of five years proven expertise and knowledge in lobbying and influencing Indonesian legislation and experience in high level political negotiations within  Indonesia both at a central and provincial governmental level. Proven ability and effectively adjust plans and rapidly changing circumstances and to operate under pressure. Has excellence communication skills, including strong writing skills and ability to present in all forms of media, fluent in written and spoken English and experience of cross-cultural working environment and demonstrable commitment to environmental/ peace issues

Skills required / qualifications

* Required: Academic qualification in international political or business sciences or law, or equivalent experience
* Minimum of five years proven expertise and knowledge in lobbying and influencing Indonesian legislation and experience in high level political negotiations within Indonesia both at a central and provincial governmental level
* Minimum of five years proven expertise in understanding Indonesian policy and legislation, analysing policy and legislative development and delivering recommendations and/or criticisms in a timely and accurate manner
* Experience in actively participating in, and shaping delegations at national, regional and international meetings
* Proven ability to effectively adjust plans to rapidly changing circumstances, and to operate under pressure
* Excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills and proven ability to present in all forms of media
* Fluent in written and spoken English and preferably one other modern language
* Experience of cross-cultural working environment – “an internationalist”
* Demonstrable commitment to environmental/peace issues
