Position Title : Intern for LM/CT project
Duty Station : Jakarta
Type & duration of contract : Internship Contract, 3 months with possibility of extension until 6 months.
General functions
Under the general supervision of the Labour Migration and Counter-trafficking (LM/CT Unit) National Project Coordinator in IOM Jakarta, the incumbent will be responsible for :
1. Assist the LM/CT Unit in developing monitoring evaluation tools and strategy for the implementation of awareness-raising activities, in particularly for the safe migration information sessions;
2. Assist the LM/CT Unit in reviewing the existing guidelines for the Government and Non-Governments partners related to direct-assistance programme, in particularly for the development of the legal assistance and reintegration assistance for the victim of trafficking;
3. Assist the LM/CT Unit in conducting all the necessary preparation and implementation of the capacity building activities;
4. Conduct research for new project opportunities and assist in the drafting of new project proposals;
5. Produce LM/CT Unit materials for IOM Indonesia website, newsletter, fact sheet and other publications;
6. Assist the LM/CT Unit in creating some tools to maintain an efficient filing system for the LM/CT Unit library.
7. Assist LM/CT Unit with any other duties as required.
Desirable qualifications:
Applicants enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school at the time of application of internship and/or applicants who have completed at least four years of full-time study at a university. Applicants must be between the ages of 19 and 32 years old and with less than two years of work experience.
Previous experience in the field of Social and/or Political Science and/or International Relations; Has knowledge in trafficking and or Labour Migration issues are considered an asset and will be highly regarded.
Ability to write clear and concise reports. Thorough knowledge of English.
