COMMUNICATION OFFICER

Role & Responsibilities:
o Develop an external communication strategy.
o Design, conduct and evaluate internal and external activities for communications, campaigning, advocacy and knowledge sharing based on the strategy.
o Manage, revise and continuously upgrade IESR¹s website for the publishing of program information and as an information exchange database where visitors can read and download electronic media.
o Plan, package, prepare public relations and media materials tailored to meet specific needs and target groups and manage publication and dissemination on relevant media.
o Coordinate campaign and advocacy activities in the short term, including Internet campaign and website development for campaign purposes.
o Train the program staff to use electronic media for advocacy
o Monitor, evaluate and continuously upgrade our internal and external communication

Qualification:
o Degree in Communications/Public Relation/ Journalism/ International Development, or related degree.
o Fundamental understanding of media work, public relation, website design and electronic media for communication & knowledge management
o Strong communication skills.
o Strong IT skills (website maintenance, facebook, twitter etc.)
o Advocacy, campaigning or networking experience
o Experience in producing publications & campaigning material
o Ability to work in independent and in the team;
o Honest, brave, creative, and smart;
o At least have 1-year experience working in public or non-governmental organization (NGOs);
o Strong passion to work in non-governmental sector and want to learn people¹s struggle;
o Basic understanding of climate change & energy issues in Indonesia
o Excellent writing skills.
o Excellent English Language oral and written communication skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook, required.
o Willing to travel and working with community.
