Position Title :School Disaster Risk Reduction Facilitator

Location : NTT

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the line management of the School DRR Project Manager, the facilitator will be in charge to implement the activities on the field (mainly schools) in strong link with target people (trainers, students, teachers, parents). They will be in charge to ensure direct follow-up of the activities in the field, and the first reporting.

The tasks in particular are:

* To organize, facilitate and monitor workshops, training and refresher training

*To accompany the trainers in the field for the training, monitoring and evaluation

*To be the focal point and to ensure liasion between the project stakeholders and the beneficiaries of the

project (Schools, local authorities, INGOs and local NGOs, communities)

*To prepare, accompany and monitor Schools to implement evacuation mock drills

*To monitor timely implementation of activities in the schools under their responsibility

*To monitor the SDRR stakeholders on their skills and capacities to mainstream disability in SDRR activities

*To follow regularly the activities implemented by the trainers and the school focal points

*To provide inputs to the partners regarding the situation of Persons with Disability in SDRR

*To work closely with the Mapping and Accessibility Thematic Officer

*Any other tasks related to the project required by the line manager

DUTY STATION: School DRR Facilitatorwill be based in Kupang, NTT with frequent travels to remote areas in Kupang or Belu district.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

*D3

*Minimum of 2 years practical experience in the field of formal Education and/or Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction

*Minimum 5 years professional experience

*Written and Oral skill in English

Desired:

*Experience in disability and/or education will be an asset Contract will be for a periodof 6 months
