International Organization for Migration (IOM) Indonesia is looking for 1 (one) Driver, according to the terms of reference below.

Position Title : Driver
Duty Station : Padang, Indonesia
Classification : on call Daily, Special All Inclusive Contract
Duration Contract : 3 (three months) Month with possible extension
General functions:
Working under the direct supervision of the National Project Manager and the overall supervision of the Procurement and Logistic Officer, the incumbent is responsible for driving the office vehicle. In particular, he will:
1. Drive IOM vehicle(s) and adhere to IOM code of conduct.
2. Manage the day to day maintenance of the assigned vehicle to ensure roadworthiness of the vehicles. This includes daily check of tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt, etc.;
3. Arrange for minor repairs and ensures that the vehicles are kept clean;
4. Keep records of spare parts for the vehicle and conduct monthly inventory of the spare parts;
5. Ensure that the vehicle undertake regular service intervals and maintain cleanliness of the in and outside part of the vehicle.
6. Make sure that the vehicle always has full tank prior departure for field trips;
7. Find the most direct routing over the best available roads to the destination;
8. Ensure that the IOM vehicle(s) is used only for official/authorized business, as advised by the supervisor;
9. Make sure that the daily log sheet is prepared and a monthly report of prepared summarizing statistics linked to mileage, fuel consumption, etc.;
10. Keep a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions, which involves IOM and its officials;
11. Take proper measurements to reduce potential security threats to IOM officials or property within the immediate vicinity of the vehicle and along transport routes;
12. Ensure that the steps requires by the local rules and regulations (pertaining to driving) are taken in case of involvement in accident;
13. Maintain vehicle logbook that will be checked daily by National Project Manager, verified and monitored by the Administrative/Finance Assistant.
14. Maybe assigned occasionally to run errands or messengerial works for the office.
15. Perform other duties as may be required.
Desirable qualifications:
Primary education, driver’s license, knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.
One years work experience as driver, safe driving record.
Good knowledge of the local language and working language of English.
