Monitoring/Logistic Consultant

The Center for Disaster Risk Management and Community Development Studies (CDRM&CDS) is a department of HKBP Nommensen University. CDRM&CDS is located in Simalingkar, Medan. The programs are focused on disaster risk management and capacity building of the communities. The CDRM&CDS has 4 field projects: Simalingkar, Nias, Pakpak (North Sumatera) and Mentawai (West Sumatera). CDRM&CDS in Mentawai is seeking for following position:

Job Title : Monitoring/Logistic Consultant

Period : 18 July – 17 December 2011

Based on : Sikakap – Mentawai

Job Description:

*In Monitoring*

1. Monitor the construction work based on the construction documents.

2. Ensure the quality of material which prepared by CDRM&CDS is based on the specification.

3. Ensure the detail design of construction is follow the agreed design.

4. Monitor every stages of GKPM work is based on the work plan agreed.

5. Actively response and inform Mentawai Field Coordinator for any discrepancy happen during the construction process.

6. Submit the progress report to Mentawai Field Coordinator and give recommendation for payment.

*In Logistic*

1. To follow the procurement practices and keeping all the records.

2. To obtain not less than 3 quotations, prepare a comparative Bid Analysis and recommendation to purchase Committee minutes where appropriate
.

3. Further, with
appropriate authorization execute the purchase of appropriate supplies and arrange delivery in a timely and cost effective manner

4. To liaise and co-ordinate with the relevant departments/ functions regarding
delivery of suppliers and keep all parties informed of any changes in a timely manner

5. To identify and
maintain an accurate and up-to-date supplier information database for Mentawai.

6. Establish and maintain a good professional working relationship with suppliers

7. To ensure that all purchase goods are done properly and fit for the purpose.

8. To produce regularly, timely and accurate narrative weekly procurement reports.

9. Maintain accurate materials listing price.

10. Update and maintain the computerized archives system and perform the filing of files.

11. Maintain material movement record as per standard.

12. Ensure security of material and safety of loaders in the warehouse.

Technical skill and experience:

· At least one years experience in logistic and procurement

· At least two years experiences in monitoring or technical experience related to building construction.

· Good communication skills and honest.

· Computer literacy in word and excel.

Desirable qualifications:

· Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering

· Team spirit and attitude of service, output oriented person
