BACKGROUND
Strategies Against Flu Emergence (SAFE) is a three year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) implemented under the leadership of Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI). SAFE works with government, private sector, NGOs, community groups and other stakeholders to strengthen the capacity of the Government if Indonesia and its people to respond to AI and other emerging pandemic threats.
OBJECTIVES
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will monitor and evaluate the progress of program activities, subcontractors, grantees and stakeholder/partners through SAFE’s Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP).
TASKS
Duties will include, but are not be limited to:
· Review SAFE indicators list and discuss with staff as necessary
· Develop PMP including framework that links SAFE objectives and indicators to USAID framework
· Develop PMP including framework indicators for four components of the SAFE program
· Implement project PMP plan
· Ensure that indicators are linked to USAID framework
· Develop methodology for systematic data collection and analysis of program indicators
· Accurately survey and quantify data
· Monitor program progress and objectively evaluate its success based on indicators
· Report results on program activities as requested
· Conduct site visits as appropriate
· Identify and write up success stories and lessons learned
· Identify and summarize qualitative and human interest stories for reports and newsletters
Qualifications include:
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to monitor and report on project implementation
- Ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Experience w/USAID funded projects required
