Caritas Switzerland (CACH)is an international non-government organization (INGO) with sound experience in the field of post disaster relief operations. Caritas Switzerland is implementing projects in Indonesia since 2005 in Sumatra, Java and Bali. In Pariaman, West Sumatra Province, Caritas Switzerlandis presently implementing a Community Based Permanent Shelter Project with Disaster Risk Reduction component.
Currently Caritas Switzerland Pariaman, is seeking for a qualified and highly motivated person to occupy the post of a“Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Community Facilitator. This position is to assist in ensuring the smooth day-to-day implementation of CACH’s DRR program activities as part of the Community Based Permanent Shelter Project.
Qualifications:
1. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently to meet the targets within the deadlines
2. Knowledge and experience in community based disaster risk reduction is a must.
3. Experience in facilitating community training in the rural area
4. Knowledge and experience on disability and inclusion will be an advantage
5. Knowledge on inclusion and/or special needs education will be an advantage
6. Excellent reporting skills
7. Excellent communication and coordination skills
8. Bahasa Indonesia is a must, good Minangkabau language and English language skills will be an advantage
9. Experience of working with local government will be an advantage, especially BPBD at district level.
10. Computer literate (minimum MS Office)
11. Skills in riding a motorcycle and holding a driving license (SIM C) is a must

“The DRR- Community Facilitator”will reportto the Senior Program Officer of the Community Development Unit.
