Financial Literacy Trainer, based in Padang

MICRA, or the Microfinance Innovation Center for Resources and Alternatives, is an Indonesian foundation focused on development of the microfinance sector. MICRA's mission is to build the institutional strength and outreach of the Indonesian microfinance sector, by providing a full range of high-quality, best-practice technical inputs and support to all industry stakeholders, in a sustainable and demand-driven manner. MICRA was founded by Mercy Corps in early 2006 and until now has been conducting various activities in Lombok, Padang, Aceh, Jakarta, Palembang, and so on. Right now, Micra and Mercy Corps is undergoing a project in Padang, West Sumatera concerning on reconstructing the society after earthquake shock in 2009. As one of its program, Micra is responsible for conducting financial literacy training to 4 kelurahan in Padang and Padang Pariaman. The training will mostly provide participants on how to conduct FAMILY FINANCIAL PLANNING in the post-earthquake society.

Accordingly, Micra calls for the position of TRAINER. Candidate will be hired in short-term period (December 2011 and January 2012)and are expected to start immediately. Micra will provide them with the already-prepared module and Training-of-Trainers (ToT). Herewith is the job description:

a. Arrange and provide training for 4 kelurahan in Padang and Padang Pariaman (expected to have at least 2 sessions in a week).
b. Join ToT session to be held in Padang (early December).
c. Seek for potential trainee in the aforementioned places, based on list provided by Micra.
d. Arrange training schedule.
e. Coordinate with Micra's appointed coordinator in Padang.
f. Submit report and evaluation for each training process.
g. Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications:
a. Indonesian nationals living in Padang or Padang Pariaman area
b. Experience in conducting training or other assistance to grassroots society
c. Knowledge on Minang society, especially after the earthquake 2009
d. willingness to travel around the 4 kelurahan in Padang and Padang Pariaman
e. Excellent inter-personal, organizational, and team-building skill
f. Good command in oral communication skill in Bahasa (and Minang, preferably)
g. Independent, discipline, self-confident, and loyal
h. NGO activist, teacher, and university students are encouraged to apply
