I. Background on ACTED:

ACTED, l’Agence d’Aide à la Coopération Technique et au Développement, or the Agency for Technical Co-operation and Development, is an NGO registered in France with global operations in Central Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa.

ACTED has been active in Indonesia since April 2005, assisting those affected by the tsunami and Nias earthquake. Until 2008, ACTED focused mainly on reconstruction and recovery, while interventions since 2008 have shifted towards development initiatives with livelihoods support programs and disaster risk reduction activities.

ACTED is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the Human Resources and Government Liaison Officer position in Jakarta, Indonesia

II. General Responsibilities:

· Supervise and support the management of ACTED national staff;
· Address all matters related to ACTED’s registration as an International NGO in Indonesia;
· Follow up and maintain international staff working documents (stay and working permit, all forms of registration to police department, and other related departments);
· Follow up and maintain visas for ACTED’s visitors from overseas;
· Handle the general administration of the ACTED office in Jakarta (premises, offices supplies);
· Support the Finance, Logistics and Administration Team (FLAT) as requested;
· Support the Project Development Manager as requested;
· A perfect ethic in regards to financial duties and responsibilities is expected;

III. Qualifications:

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

· Outstanding communication skills, including adapting information to different audiences;
· Demonstrated relationship-building skills, including negotiation;
· Excellent writing skills;
· Solid knowledge of Indonesian labor code, employment standards, and familiarity with contracts;
· Knowledge of expatriate work permit and immigration processes;
· Advanced problem-solving and critical analysis skills;
· Able to multitask, set realistic deadlines, and meet deadlines;
· Meticulous attention to detail;
· Excellent English, both written and oral;
· Excellent computer knowledge.

Desirable:

· University degree in law;
· Experience working at the same position with an international NGO;
