Monitoring and Evaluation / Research Project Officer

The Asia Foundation, an international non-governmental organization, is seeking applicants for a Monitoring and Evaluation / Research Project Officer for an upcoming environmental governance project in Indonesia. The program will issue sub-grants to CSOs at national and local level to carry out program activities. The program will also support NGOs or research institutes to conduct policy-relevant research on the political economy of environmental governance at the local level. The MER Project Officer will be responsible for managing the M&E and research activities.

Candidate should ideally possess:
• Minimum of five years M&E experience
• Knowledge of environmental governance issues in Indonesia
• Highly developed quantitative and qualitative research skills, with experience in political
economy approaches and strong writing skills
• Experience working with Indonesian NGOs at province/district level
• Experience in Kalimantan and/or Papua
• Fluency in both English and Indonesian.
