Opportunity for Research Officer (Communication) – Jakarta

The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Economic Governance (AIPEG) is an AusAID-funded project assisting Indonesia to undertake economic and financial policy reforms. Norton Rose Australia, the Managing Contractor, seeks applications from qualified Indonesian Research Officers (Communication) for an assignment located in the Ministry of Trade, Jakarta, Indonesia. The assignment is for 11 months, with a possible extension for another 12 months. The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate:

• At least 1 years experience in a Communication or Public Relations role, including familiarity with social media;
• Strong research skills, particularly internet based research;
• Excellent inter-personal skills and strong written and oral communication skills with written and oral fluency in Bahasa Indonesian and English;
• An ability to interact with policy makers and other stakeholders in a culturally-sensitive environment; and
• Good computer, data management and communication material design skills (including use of graphic design software).

An understanding of Indonesian trade policy and its gender implications would also be desirable.
